How to Permanently Close My StraitsX Account?

Before you begin to permanently close your StraitsX account, please ensure the following before submitting your request:

  • Withdraw all remaining balances or assets from your account

  • Download any transaction records you may need

  • Be ready to go through a verification step, which will be carried out by our Customer Support Team to confirm that you're the rightful account holder


Steps to request account closure

1. Go to our Help Center to initiate a request to close your account.

2. Navigate to the Personal Account Support under the list of issues/categories.


3. Enter your email address and check the box to confirm that it is the same email address linked to your StraitsX account.


4. Choose Account Enquiry > Account Access > Close account.


5. Fill in the rest of the required details and submit your request.

Our team will review your submission and follow up with a verification process. Once your identity is confirmed, your account will be closed. All personal data will be handled in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).




Can I reopen my account in the future?

Once an account is permanently closed or deactivated, it cannot be reactivated. If you wish to use StraitsX services again, you will need to sign up for a new account and complete the verification process from the beginning.
