This article outlines the service fees applied when depositing or withdrawing USD via the SWIFT network.
USD Deposit (Transfer In)
- StraitsX fee: We do not charge any service fees for USD deposits. You can transfer USD into your StraitsX account free of charge on our end.
- Other Bank fees: Your bank may charge a separate fee for initiating a SWIFT transfer. These fees vary by bank and are not controlled by StraitsX. To avoid unexpected charges, please check with your bank before making a transfer.
USD Withdrawal (Transfer Out)
- StraitsX fee: A flat service fee of USD 40 applies to every USD withdrawal request.
- Fees not covered by StraitsX:
- Intermediary bank fees – Banks that help route your transfer across the SWIFT network may deduct fees before funds reach your receiving bank.
- Receiving bank fees – Your receiving bank may charge additional transaction fees to credit the funds. These typically range between USD 10 to USD 50 per transaction, depending on your bank and location.
- Currency conversion fees – If your withdrawal is sent to a bank account that does not support USD, your bank may convert the funds into your local currency. The exchange rate is set by your bank and may affect the final amount received.
These fees are charged directly by other banks and are not imposed or controlled by StraitsX.
