What are the requirements to set up a StraitsX Personal Account?

To create and verify a StraitsX Personal Account, you’ll need the following:

1. Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to register for an account. This requirement is in place to comply with financial regulations and identity verification policies.

As part of our onboarding process, StraitsX is required to verify the identity of all users to meet compliance standards. Age is a key part of this verification, and individuals below 18 are not eligible, even with parental consent. If you're under 18, you may register once you meet the minimum age requirement.

2. Identification

• Singapore residents will need a Singpass account and a valid proof of address.

• International users will need a passport and supporting verification documents.
  
  

3. Valid email address and phone number

You’ll need a valid email to sign up and receive account-related notifications. A valid phone number is important as it serves as your account identifier and is where we will be sending you notifications, alerts, and OTPs.
