Address verification with universal QR wallets for Singapore-based accounts

StraitsX supports verifying your non-custodial wallet address using WalletConnect. This allows you to link your wallet by scanning a QR code directly from the StraitsX dashboard.

You will need a WalletConnect-compatible wallet app, (e.g., MetaMask mobile, Trust Wallet, Rainbow, or other supported wallets). No browser extension is required. 

Add and Verify Your Blockchain Address via WalletConnect

1. Click on your name at the top right corner and click on "My Account" to display your account settings.

2. Click on the "Blockchain Addresses" tab to display blockchain address settings.

3. Click on "Add New" to add a new blockchain address.

4. A modal will pop up. Select “Link with your wallet”, then choose "WalletConnect".

5. Select a chain or network (EVM-Compatible or Non-EVM networks) you want to connect with.

6. A WalletConnect modal will appear:

• You can either pick from the supported wallets listed (e.g., Trust Wallet), or;
• Click to show the QR code, then scan it using your WalletConnect-compatible wallet app.
  
  

7. Create a new connection by connecting to your wallet or scanning the WalletConnect QR code.

8. Approve the connection in your wallet app.

9. You’ll receive a signature request in your wallet. Review and approve the signature to verify ownership.

10. Once you sign, you’ll see a confirmation modal. This indicates your address has been successfully submitted for verification.

11. After confirmation, your wallet address will appear in your StraitsX account under Blockchain Addresses as verified.
