To enhance security, StraitsX requires users to whitelist new blockchain addresses before transferring tokens to them. The process differs based on the type of address:
For Digital Asset Platform Addresses (Custodial Addresses)
You are required to whitelist the address before initiating any blockchain transfers. To do so, you must submit a whitelisting request, which will be reviewed by our team. During this review, we will verify the details to ensure the address belongs to a supported digital asset platform and meets security requirements. You will receive a confirmation once the review is complete.
For Personal Addresses (Non-Custodial Addresses)
The whitelisting process requires you to submit a request and verify ownership of the address using one of the following methods:
- MetaMask or WalletConnect Verification: Connect your wallet via MetaMask or WalletConnect to verify ownership seamlessly.
- A small deposit test (also known as a Satoshi Test): Transfer a small amount of XSGD/XUSD (greater than 1 XSGD/XUSD) to the address and send it back to your StraitsX account to confirm control.
Method 1: Add and Verify Your Blockchain Address via MetaMask or WalletConnect
Step 1: Click on your name at the top right corner and click on "My Account" to display your account settings.
Step 2: Click on "Blockchain Addresses" to display blockchain address settings.
Step 3: Click on "Add New" to add a new blockchain address.
Step 4: Select “Link with your wallet”.
Step 5: Select “MetaMask” or “WalletConnect”, depending on the wallet provider you are using.
Step 6: Once you have connected your respective wallet, you will be asked to verify and sign to whitelist your blockchain address to your StraitsX account. From here, click on “Verify and Sign”. By doing so, your wallet will be automatically whitelisted for Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche C-Chain, Arbitrum, and BNB Smart Chain networks simultaneously.
Step 7: A pop-up on your wallet extension on the browser or mobile app will appear for your signature request. Click “Sign” to proceed.
Step 8: Once done, your wallet should be added and verified on your StraitsX account.
Method 2: Add and Verify Your Blockchain Address Manually
Step 1: Click on your name at the top right corner and click on "My Account" to display your account settings.
Step 2: Click on "Blockchain Addresses" to display blockchain address settings.
Step 3: Click on "Add New" to add a new blockchain address.
Step 4: Select “Link your address manually”.
Step 5: Provide information about your blockchain address accordingly.
Step 6: Confirm the details of the address you added.
Step 7: The whitelisting request will be processed and approved.
Step 8: Please note that to complete the whitelisting process for a personal address (non-custodial address), you need to verify ownership by making a deposit from that address to your StraitsX account. There are two ways to complete this process:
a. If you do not have any supported tokens in your blockchain address: First, withdraw a small amount of supported stablecoins from your StraitsX account to your blockchain address. Then, deposit back from your blockchain address to StraitsX to complete the verification.
b. If you already have supported tokens in your blockchain address, you can directly deposit any amount of supported stablecoins from your blockchain address to your StraitsX account. Once the deposit is confirmed, your address will be whitelisted.
Step 9: Once done, your wallet should be added and verified on your StraitsX account.
